Restorative Dentistry in Arlington, TX

If you’re suffering from a minor cavity, multiple missing teeth, or any kind of dental problem in-between, don’t wait – contact South Arlington Dental Care today to receive the quality care you deserve during this trying time. Dr. Prachi Shah has experience working with children and adults alike, and our team will do everything we can to restore your smile to full health as soon as possible. Our office is located in the Arlington area, and patients from Grand Prairie, Fort Worth, Burleson, Mansfield and other nearby areas are always welcome.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

An important cornerstone of restorative care is dental crowns, which are individual restorations designed to “cap” over a tooth. This restores the tooth’s natural strength and size, protecting it from further harm. Dr. Shah might recommend the placement of a dental crown in a variety of situations, including severe decay, a dental injury, weakened structure, fractures and aesthetic concerns. This procedure typically requires two to three appointments.

If you’ve experienced the loss of multiple teeth and are dissatisfied with the looseness of dentures, a customized dental bridge could be the perfect solution. This restoration is designed to replicate missing teeth, as long as there are healthy teeth located on either side of the gap. Two dental crowns are attached and used as “anchors,” fitting over healthy teeth to hold the bridge in place. Like crowns, bridges typically require two to three appointments to be successfully placed at our Arlington practice.

Root Canal Therapy

When a tooth has been severely affected by infection, extraction becomes a very real and very scary threat. Thankfully, Dr. Shah provides another option – root canal therapy. This procedure involves our Arlington team carefully accessing the inner chamber of the tooth and removing diseased pulp and bacteria from the space, fully cleansing it and restoring its health. Root canal therapy is very successful, and many treated teeth go on to last for the rest of the patient’s lifetime as long as they’re cared for properly.

Wisdom Tooth Extractions

In most cases, our dental team will do everything we can to preserve a patient’s full, natural smile. However, situations arise where extracting one or more teeth is the right choice. This is never more common than with third molars (“wisdom teeth”), which are the last permanent teeth to erupt. Because of the lack of space, many patients experience overcrowding, partial eruption, and higher risks of infection overall. If Dr. Shah determines wisdom tooth extraction is necessary to preserve your wellbeing, our team will do everything we can to make the procedure as smooth and comfortable as possible.
